One person died Tuesday morning after being struck by a garbage truck in Keene, police said.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the Chipotle parking lot off Ivy Drive, near the Winchester Street roundabouts, according to Keene police Capt. Steve Tenney.
Police are investigating the death as a motor vehicle accident. The investigation remained in its early stages Tuesday morning, and authorities had not yet released the name of the person killed or the driver involved.
Ivy Drive was expected to remain partially closed for several hours while police investigated the scene.
Around noon, Keene fire crews, Keene police, New Hampshire State Police and a crime scene unit were seen in the area.
