With temperatures rising, electricity demand is expected to climb sharply across New England, and Vermont Electric Cooperative is asking customers to cut back on power use through Friday.
The utility says the most important window for conservation is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day, when demand is likely to be at its highest.
